Dr Ekaterina Oparina is a post-doctoral Research Economist in the Community Wellbeing Programme of the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics. She completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Surrey in Autumn 2020. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her current areas of research include: methodological approaches to the analysis of well-being data, and individual-level determinants of wellbeing

Sonia Oreffice obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2004, her MA in 2000, and her BA in Economics at the University of Venice (Italy) in 1998. Before joining the Department of Economics at the University of Exeter in September 2018 as Professor of Economics, she was Professor of Economics at the University of Surrey in 2013-2018, and previously worked at Universidad de Alicante, CCNY-CUNY, and Clemson University. Philip Oreopoulos
Philip Oreopoulos is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and co-chairs the education program at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab. Dr. Oreopoulos’ current work focuses on education policy, especially the application of behavioral economics to education and child development. He often examines this field by initiating and implementing large-scale field experiments, with the goal of producing convincing evidence for public policy decisions.

Raquel Ortega-Argiles
Professor Ortega-Argiles holds the Chair of Regional Economic Development at City- REDI Institute, University of Birmingham. Her work cover areas including regional development, local innovation and entrepreneurship, competitiveness and Brexit. Her scientific work ranges in approach from advanced econometric modelling to case study techniques. Raquel’s research is funded by UKICE and Rebuilding Macroeconomics ESRC initiatives and recently also by Facebook. She is an editor of Regional Studies.

Laura Outhwaite is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities – a new interdisciplinary research centre at UCL Institute of Education, focused on identifying and reducing structural barriers to opportunities across the life course. Her expertise lies in psychology applied to education in understanding the design and impact of interventions on child outcomes, with a focus on early years, mathematical and cognitive development, and educational technology.
