Sonia Oreffice obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2004, her MA in 2000, and her BA in Economics at the University of Venice (Italy) in 1998.
Before joining the Department of Economics at the University of Exeter in September 2018 as Professor of Economics, she was Professor of Economics at the University of Surrey in 2013-2018, and previously worked at Universidad de Alicante, CCNY-CUNY, and Clemson University.
She is an Editor of the Review of Economics of the Household, Research Fellow at IZA, Family Inequality Working Group, and CHILD.
