Meredith Paker

Dr Meredith Paker is an Associate Professor of Economic History, a Fellow of All Souls College, and an Associate Member of the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford. Her research explores how labor markets have adjusted to economic crises and structural change, and how those adjustments have shaped inequality, unemployment, and living standards over time. Her work relies on archival data, econometric methods, and machine learning at the intersection of economic history and labor economics. Before joining Oxford, she was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Grinnell College and an Economist at the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency.
