Questions and answers about
the economy.

Issue 3: Summer 2023

We are pleased to announce the publication of the third edition of ECO magazine, to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the birth of Adam Smith. This issue revisits several of Smith’s groundbreaking ideas – from the role of markets to the division of labour – and explores them in a modern context. Across the articles we consider what we might learn from the father of economics when tackling the big challenges of the 21st century.

With contributions from Angus Deaton, John Kay, Mary Morgan, Jesse Norman, Emma Rothschild, Linda Yueh and many more, the magazine covers some of the big economic questions that academics and policy-makers have been debating for the last three centuries.

You can read the articles via the interactive eBook below, download a copy to your device to read offline or order a paper copy. Please enjoy, and remember you can always get in touch with any questions or feedback.
