Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a master’s degree in public administration from the London School of Economics (LSE), specialising in economic policy. She has served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and contributed to the development of the macroeconomic model used in the IDB’s Fiscal Management Division to address questions related to debt sustainability, fiscal rules, and advising LAC economies. She worked as a research officer at the School of Public Policy at LSE, focusing on economic growth theory, macroeconomic modelling and financial services. She is currently head of research at OMFIF, a London-based think tank, where she works on central banking, fiscal policy and capital market development.
