Alexander G. Kemp is Professor of Petroleum Economics at the University of Aberdeen. He has published over 200 papers and books. In 2006, he was awarded the OBE. In June 2011, Professor Kemp was appointed to the Scottish Government’s Energy Advisory Board. He authored The Official History of North Sea Oil and Gas, published in 2012. In 2012 he received the SPE Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2022, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development, Qatar.
