It focused on the impacts of \u2018Auxilio Emergencial\u2019, a cash grant provided to low-income households in response to income falls caused by the pandemic in Brazil, and expected to reach more than 60 million individuals. This project tests whether and how cash transfers inhibit individuals from taking unnecessary risks and putting others at risk. This project addresses the following questions: What are the impacts of receiving the time-limited cash transfer on individuals\u2019 knowledge about the coronavirus and adherence to public health recommendations? To what extent are these impacts hampered by the delays in receiving the cash transfer?
