To prevent the spread of Covid-19, many countries have implemented different degrees of lockdowns, which has profoundly changed the way people live their lives. In our study, we investigate how habits change during and after the Corona lockdowns. We hypothesize that many habits change during the lockdown, and some of them might persist in the long run and do not fall back to the level before the lockdowns. To explore this question, we will run a partly incentivized questionnaire to elicit habit data in eight different countries, and we will compare regions that vary in degree of lockdowns but are otherwise as comparable as possible. In addition, we will also perform keyword-based textual analysis using Twitter data from the four most populated US states (California, Texas, Florida, and New York State). We will compare the relative frequency of different habits mentioned in Tweets over time to the results of the questionnaire.<\/p>\n
